What they actually do
Roller shutters control sun, heat and glare on the outside of the glass, and they give a genuinely dark room for shift workers, home cinemas or a bedroom that needs a real afternoon sleep. Foam-filled aluminium slats, in a powder-coated finish matched to the facade, roll down from a headbox that can be surface-mounted or built in on a new-build. That's the job — shading and light control, front to back.
Shading, not security
Our roller shutters are a shading product. They control sun, heat and glare, and they close a room out completely for total blackout — but they are not a security-rated product, and we don't sell or promote them as one. A security-rated shutter is a different, separately engineered item, quoted on request if that's genuinely what you're after.
Where they earn their keep in Bellville
